In the Spring of 2009 we sold Max Boer Goats Red Hot Leighton to Hidden Birch Farm in New Hampshire. "Red" was a great guy, an even tempered good friend, and we still miss him. He has been replaced by two young bucks, the boys from Pennsylvania.
Starbucks hails from Losch's Riverview Farm in Pennsylvania. He is white with a liver colored head, and a large color dot on his chest. His dam is Losch's Riverview Farm W37 Red Annie, a sharp, solid red doe. His sire is Fern Hollow Farm Double Action, owned by Losch's but bred and born at Fern Hollow Farm in Georgia. Double Action is a beautiful red and white paint boer buck of show quality. He weighed 206# prior to his first birthday.
Our other Pa. buck is LFJFD Orazio, a solid red buck we purchased from BIJO Boer Goats. His sire, JREG V5 Tuxedo, is a large black, with a flashy white bib, hence the name Tuxedo. His dam is Breezy Hollow W4 Teaberry, an elegant solid red doe, with lots of Little League breeding.
Between Starbucks and Orazio, we expect lots of color coming. The boys joined the girls on November 1st and we gave lots of thought to creating the best matches. The kids coming should be of fine quality and should include traditionals, paints, solid reds, blacks, etc. The prodigy of these fine bucks should begin arriving on April 1, 2010, and needless to say, we're very excited!
